ROLE PURPOSE The Commercial Director co-ordinates the internal & external structure of the business maintaining company policies, goals and objectives to ensure an efficient working environment, that Financial objectives are achieved and that deadlines are met consistently.

KEY OUTPUTS Liaise with senior management to make decisions for Operational & Development activities
and set strategic goals; Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress, performance and efficiency;
Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements;
Manages small change activities or works with the change function to delivery major programs; Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction;
Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability; Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation; Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors including Brokers & Insurers; Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics; Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations; Responsible for ensuring operational risks are identified and controls operate effectively or are addressed to ensure risks are mitigated and remain within appetite; Support for operational implementation of regulatory and legislative changes; Support the development of the company culture and drive the company vision ; Create and lead an environment that promotes great performance and positive morale; Work with the Executive board to determine values, mission and plan for short- and long-term goals; Ensure the ongoing implementation of the T&C scheme for the management team/employees to ensure competency is attained and maintained, and ensure the provision of learning, training and development as required; Assists management in setting goals that promote company growth; Prepares budgets, schedules, and other organisational reports as needed; Develops plans to increase efficiency and reduce costs; Improves existing systems and policies; Ensures customer requirements are met in a timely manner; Works closely with other departments to promote efficient optimisation; Manages internal and external service suppliers with the group procurement team and Management.
Comply fully with the Senior Manager & Certification Regime and maintain the requirements of a Fit and Proper person.
Senior Managers Regime:
• Work with Group HR to ensure all Senior Managers understand their Prescribed Responsibilities and have completed a Statement of Responsibility
Certification Regime:
• Identify and maintain awareness of any individuals/roles who fall under the Certification Regime
• Understand the requirements of those who have a Certified Function.
Fit and Proper:
• Ensure the Firm employs individuals who are deemed fit and proper in their roles
• Ensure the Firm employees individuals with the appropriate level of competence to allow them to perform a Senior Management Function or a Certified Function within the Firm.
Conduct Rules:
• Ensure the Conduct Rules are understood and who they apply to.
